For Immediate Release

Cleveland, Ohio – October 24, 2025 -- The FreeTonyViola.com and JusticeForDawn.com investigative teams announced today that they will begin sharing the results of a comprehensive investigation into criminal activities of Senior Assistant Ohio Attorney General Daniel Kasaris over the next several months.  Allegations of misconduct by Kasaris will be supported through police reports, witness statements, transcripts, court documents, court filings, recorded interviews and court rulings against Kasaris, particularly in cases where he won convictions that were later overturned on appeal.  Much of the misconduct – altering documents, fabricating evidence, intimidating witnesses, using his position of authority to extract sex from government witnesses – has been repeated over and over, in a myriad of cases, for decades.

Further substantiating all claims is Kasaris’ unfettered use of multiple email accounts, including thousands of emails he sent on a private email server with his official government signature, many of which our investigative team has obtained.

“Most of our best evidence of the Dan Kasaris crime spree are Kasaris’ own written words,” said Tony Viola.  “Feeling invincible, Kasaris frequently abuses his authority and breaks the law.  From his undisclosed use of a power of attorney to control government witness Kelly Connors’ finances to his name appearing on disbursement ledgers for funds collected on behalf of crime victims, Kasaris is a one-man crime wave.  Our comprehensive investigation will expose this wrongdoing, with supporting evidence provided, in the hopes that other journalists will pick up the story and that governmental officials will join our calls for Kasaris to be criminally prosecuted.”

This new investigative series, which will include video releases and blog posts over the next six months, builds on prior investigative reporting by BZ Douglas, https://bzdouglas.substack.com/p/the-skeletons-in-ohio-assistant-attorney, as well as a Seeking Justice Investigative Series on the suspicious death of Dawn Pasela, and Kasaris’ role there, www.SeekingJusticeMedia.com

ABOUT JUSTICEFORDAWN.COM:  Whistleblower Dawn Pasela worked for the Prosecutor’s Office in Cleveland and was found dead under suspicious circumstances as she was set to testify at the second criminal trial of Tony Viola.  Dawn’s death has never been investigated, nor has the disappearance of her computer with evidence that may lead to over 1,000 exonerations. The JusticeForDawn team is advocating for a proper investigation by an independent law enforcement agency, and to hold powerful law enforcement officials accountable for their actions, which led to Dawn’s death.

ABOUT FREETONYVIOLA.COM:  FreeTonyViola.com’s mission is to shine a bright spotlight on the ‘win at all costs’ tactics, prosecutorial overreach and misconduct the United States Department of Justice employs when prosecuting American citizens.  Tony Viola was investigated by the Cuyahoga County Mortgage Fraud Task Force, a multi-jurisdictional task force comprised of state, local and federal agencies, and prosecuted in parallel federal and state cases. He lost the federal case but was exonerated at a subsequent state trial.  The website, originally created to solicit leads for Tony’s investigative team, has evolved into a tool to keep the public informed about critical developments in his case, and to share information that could potentially assist others who have been wrongfully ensnared by our criminal justice system.  For additional information, visit http://www.FreeTonyViola.com, friend us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/tony.viola.9212, or follow us on X @TonyViola.
